The Artisan Edit

Starting off strong with the Crave Artisan Market located at 725 Meeting St in West Columbia. The market is a family-owned sandwich spot, offering take-out and eating options. With fresh ingredients and a menu with lots of variety, the market has a simple yet elevated approach. I ordered the Meadow vegan sandwich (pictured below), substituting the nutritional yeast for turkey, and absolutely loved it. The portions are large and made as ordered, promising freshness with every order. Beyond sandwiches, the menu offers house-made soups, salads, and paninis, also offering a grab-and-go section for people in a hurry. If you haven’t tried before, I would strongly suggest heading down to the Crave Artisan Market, whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a local spot with big flavor. This hidden gem on Meeting Street is definitely worth a visit.

Groucho’s Deli: A Columbia Favorite for Flavorful Eats

As we approach our last week, I have two last places to share with you all. The first amazing food option is Groucho’s Deli, as it has quickly become one of my favorite casual spots to grab a bite. The menu has a great mix of hearty sandwiches, fresh salads, and their signature dipping sauces that really take everything up a notch. I tried their BLT, and it was packed with flavor, served with a side of their delicious Formula 45 sauce. Definitely worth the hype. Everything tasted fresh and was made to order, which made the meal even better. The portions were generous, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with that friendly neighborhood deli vibe that makes you want to come back. The staff was attentive and made sure everything came out just right.
