Coffee Done Right at Lazy Daisy

Welcome back to week two of the best spots in Columbia, SC. As we dive into midterms and busy weeks, a little caffeine boost might be just what you need to keep your week moving. Lazy Daisy Coffee Co., located at 4615 Forest Dr., Suite 1, Columbia, SC 29206, is a family-owned business dedicated to bringing people together over coffee and pastries. Their menu ranges from coffees and teas to bagels and freshly made pastries, offering something for everyone.

As an avid coffee drinker, I was very excited to try Lazy Daisy as I have heard so many great reviews of not only the drinks, but also the atmosphere. I tried one of their signature lattes, The Daisy, and absolutely loved it. It had the perfect balance of flavor - sweet but also strong. If you have time, I would absolutely recommend stopping by Lazy Daisy on Forest Drive. Whether you are in a rush and need a quick pick-me-up or have time to sit and study, this coffee shop has quickly become one of my favorite shops in town!

Starting off strong with the Crave Artisan Market located at 725 Meeting St in West Columbia. The market is a family-owned sandwich spot, offering take-out and eating options. With fresh ingredients and a menu with lots of variety, the market has a simple yet elevated approach. A Quick Seafood Escape to The Oyster House

I took a little weekend trip, so this week’s food pick is a bit different — The Oyster House in Charleston. It’s a super charming spot with a historic, coastal vibe and some of the freshest seafood I’ve had in a while. The raw bar is the star (their oysters are insanely good), but the fish tacos and ahi tuna appetizer deserve just as much hype. Tucked off of King Street, it's a quiet restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The whole place feels relaxed but polished, perfect for a slow weekend dinner. Groucho’s Deli: A Columbia Favorite for Flavorful Eats

As we approach our last week, I have two last places to share with you all. The first amazing food option is Groucho’s Deli, as it has quickly become one of my favorite casual spots to grab a bite. The menu has a great mix of hearty sandwiches, fresh salads, and their signature dipping sauces that really take everything up a notch. I tried their BLT, and it was packed with flavor, served with a side of their delicious Formula 45 sauce. Definitely worth the hype. Everything tasted fresh and was made to order, which made the meal even better. The portions were generous, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with that friendly neighborhood deli vibe that makes you want to come back. The staff was attentive and made sure everything came out just right. Whether you’re stopping in for dinner or a quick takeout, Groucho’s Deli is a great spot in Columbia for a satisfying meal. Menu
